Can God Be Known?
In this era of freethinkers and another generation of self motivated people, ask yourself, do I need God?
Yes. You do. And I am not talking about the new age god which I understand is self. God in you. You are god. Determine your own fate.
I am talking about the God who created you in His image. The God who holds the world together. (Where do you think the atoms come from? Someone had to create them. Where do you think the posibility of their ever having been a big bang came from? The materials came from somewhere. Something gave intellect to the molecules.)
Can God be known? is the question posed in the title of this post. And I say, yes. God can be known. Not completely. There is always going to be an aspect of God we humans will not be able to understand or even grasp. The revealed things of God belong to man but the hidden things belong to the Lord Almighty, What we can know about God is revealed in the Bible.
And in nature. Yes, God can be known by the fact that the sun rises and sets. Stars are in the sky. The sun is there also. And the moon. As well as the planets.
You got up this morning. Do you think you did that by yourself? That you made your own body? That you breathe air that doesn't kill you? That you can taste and see and hear?
But that doesn't mean you are god. God shares His throne with no one.
On the other hand, God to a certain extent can't be known. As I said, not completely. There will always be hidden aspect to God. He doesn't need you to know everything about Him or know Him completely for Him to exist. No process theology allowed. We exist for His pleasure not so that He can learn anything from observing us. He doesn't have to learn anything.. .

Keep On Through Hard times
I am noticing that my readship is falling off. Maybe the subject of discipleship is not an interesting one. Maybe the readers will come back if I went into a doctrinal study again. It is hard to tell since I am here on this end and the reader is out there in cyberland looking for a good post.
Readership falls and rises. Jesus Himself didn't have too many following Him but only those who were committed to know doctrine. He taught. They listened. Some walked away. Some stayed.
Maybe what I have been posting is hard for some to read so they don't click on the post title. Believe it or not there are some posts that have not had any look at them. Alright. They will be there for others to look at later.
A mark of a Christian is that they keep on for the hope of the resurrection of their bodies. this promise of a future resurrection is based on the downpayment made by Jesus at Calvery. He died and was buried and rose again on the third day. Because He did that I can be sure He will come get me. He will send an angel to escort me on my way so I have no chance of getting lost. To be absebnt from my body will mean I will be present with the Lord.
