Man Is Special

To further our discussion as started in the last few earlier postings--What is man that you are mindful of him. Man is a  separate creation of God from the rest of creation.. God did one more thing  than He did with the creatures created on the sixth day. He took him and breathed into him the breathe of life. A special endowment the creatures created on that day didn't get.
Man thus is able to fellowship in a relationship with his creator. This is something the animals don't have.
You may think your cat of dog is able to have this type of relationship with you-- his owner-- but it is not the same.
But.. get ready for the bad news. when Adam and Eve were given a simple request, they chose to disobey and use their free will to  act independent of what God had told them.
We can see that in the parent/child relationship on a lesser level.
But God still wanted to have a relationship with man. This is what makes man special and makes God take mind of him.
But since man-- Adam as our representative before God-- disobeyed, God had to , from the human standpoint of looking at things, set up a way man could get back in relationship with God without God brushing the act of disobedience away. In other words, God could not say, forget it. I will pretend it never happened. It happened and, if I may say, hurt.
I plan in a later posting to return to this. Let me leave you with this posting. A sort of cliff hanger.

A Line To The Almighty

A long time ago I posted on this subject. Labels with prayer mentioned in them keep popping up. So I guess it is time, once again, to mention the subject.
Everyone prays. The eastern belief system refers to this as chanting instead of prayer. And I realize it is not the same, but they chanters expect to make contact with some spiritual being whom they hope will happen to help them.
No, prayer ,as I am talking about it, true prayer, is only done successfully by the Christian.
Definition: Christian. One who has a relationship with God through Jesus Christ, whom has said, No one comes to the Father by through me.
Of course you would want to talk to God if you have a relationship. Just as you would talk to a friend.
What should you talk to Him about? Everything. Your day's events. Your worries. Your joys. Your needs.
He wants to hear from you. He is waiting to hear your voice.
Cast all your cares on Him, for He cares for you.
It is a line to the Almighty.
When you have a relationship with Him it is like you belong to a family. If you are normal you talk to your family. In return your family talks to you.
God talks to those who have a relationship with Him by the Bible. God overshadowed the writers and what we have is what He wants to communicate. I think that is a great deal.
Please consider talking to God on a more regular basis. But to be heard you must have a relationship with Him. Otherwise He is not obligated to hear and answer.

Chapter Study

   It would seem that you as a group are camping on the subject of Bible Study and the ABCD method. I would like to suggest an easier one for you to do. It doesn't require any other book except the Bible and a paper to jot down what you are learning.
   It is known as the chapter method. I would suggest you start this one with a shorter chapter  such as I Corinthians 13.
    Start out by reading it five times. Maybe one of the times you read it aloud to yourself. Notice the flow. Notice the main word or subject covered.
   After reading it through at least that many times, preferably in a Bile you have not made notes in yet , give the chapter a name. Then next paraphrase it. Note down the key word (in this case, love). Ask yourself how you can apply it. The purpose of Bible study is application not so much interpretation.
    Using a study Bible find the other places this topic is referred to.
    Find a verse to memorize in the passage read. This is very important as God the Holy Spirit will use it in your life. "Thy Word I have hid in my heart that I may not sin against God. Psalm 119:6" Always remember to include the address of the verse.

I Am Being Spammed

  I went into my back office on this site and I am noticing that I am being spammed by a sex site. Now, I wish that other people besides sex providers were reading my site. Not that the sex providers are beyond salvation from a bad habit.
    Porn is not healthy. It destroys your view of women and of the male/female continuum. And how the sex presented by the site that is spamming links with this post, I am having trouble seeing.
    There is no one beyond the need for God and for forgiveness.
     I believe all has been said about this. Please be respectful toward the subject matter of this site you are reading.

A Look At Thinking Affecting The Subconscius

  I realize there is a movement out there that says whatever we dwell upon with emotion and imagination can be given to us. That our thoughts send out vibrations  that will correspond to vibrations in the universe. These vibrations will manifest themselves in reality and become that which we think. That we are creators.
   It is all metaphysical. But even if it is beyond physics does that mean it may be untrue?
   There is another realm outside what we can see, touch, taste, smell and hear. There is a realm that the spirits dwell in. From time to time they may intersect and cross over.
    Yet to say that we, mere humans, can do anything to create reality from thoughts.. that takes a little discussion.
     Yes, we can make ourselves glad and sad by our thoughts. The Good Book says, as a man thinks in his heart, so is he. Our thoughts do affect our moods. We also have imaginations. People who are great achievers have something within themselves that we all have which helps them see what they want and seem to push them to attain what they seek.  But is that the mind mainfesting wha tthey want? As claimed by the practitioners of the practice.
    We do have a subconscious that we are not aware is at work in us. It is an area that has our basic belief and conclusions about life. If we believe we can do something we should be able to. Those who believe they can or can not do something are right. It is all the work of our subconscious.
