All Is Not Lost
Now the great rescue is put in place. Man has sinned. that is, sin is disobedience to God's command. Adam and Eve had been told not to eat of that tree. And they had.
And the outcome was death or separation from God. No longer could they have fellowship with Him. God is too holy and pure. Man lost his innocence. He was not to have learned evil that way.
That did not mean he lost the image. That got bent and distorted. From now on when ever he was to try to conceive of God he would sense something greater and wish to make contact, but he would be unable to. So he would make images of what he conceived this god in his image to be.
God wanted to restore to man what he had in the garden. In fact God--, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, had the solution already prepared, They had discussed this among themselves long before creation.
It would take the death of an innocent, sinless, creature. In the long run, God Himself would die on the cross for the sins of mankind. But at this point , since man was not able to fellowship with Him, God had to slowly work within history to woo mankind back to Him.
It was through blood that man could even attempt to approach God now. God Himself killed an innocent creature to clothe Adam and Eve before He drove them out of the garden. He instructed Adam and Eve that a sacrifice was needed to approach Him. Each and every time.
You see, God had given man something called free will. That meant he could choose to obey or not That is what the thing in the garden was all about. Man used his free will to not obey God. And men today do the same thing.
So, how are you doing? The story continues. Since this is a doctrine blog now for, I don't know how long, hang in there. More cool doctrines to come. And you can still comment to me and I will attempt to clarify for you .

Still Here?
Are you still here? Well, if you are reading this the answer is yes.
All that hype about the Mayan calender ending on 21 December 2012 at the exact hour of 5 am and therefore the end of the world and life as we know it.
Following that logic every December 31st at midnight the world ends. Why? Because there is no more dates on the calender.
No. The world is not going to end because a calender runs out of days.
Those of us who are still here, and that means you, know better.
Some say this signifies an era of better mind expansion and spiritual insight.
We have always had that. Spiritual insight comes from connection with God our creator. That is true insight. Insight also comes from drugs but that is the false type of insight. Also the wrong type of meditation, yoga, wrong information not grounded in truth, can give you insight but insight that can't be trusted..
No, true insight is only given by God and the only way you can get true insight from God is to be related to Him through a process known as the New Birth. And that is only available if you come to the Father through Jesus Christ.
He said he was The Way ,The Truth, and The Life. No one comes to the Father but through Him.
True wisdom and insight came a long time ago. It didn't have to wait until the Mayan calender ran out.

Warning
I was just looking at my blog page to see how it looked to the reader. I noticed that google ads has placed an ad for Herbert W. Armstrong' book. I must warn you about him and his organization.
The book is full of untruth. His group used to be called "The World Wide Church Of God" and it reported to be the one true church. It also reported to have rediscovered the truth hidden for ages until (Gasp) it was revealed to Herbert himself who had made himself a prophet of God.
He writes very persuasively. In fact, it was his books that drew me into his grasp when I first became a Christian and was searching for a church to join. He draws you in by saying all he teaches is from the Bible alone. That s not true. His doctrine of eternal punishment is wrong. He states there is no punishment but when you die you are no more unless you belong to the one true church, which is his. Only baptism by one of his ministers of his church is the true baptism. He denies the trinity.
I respect Google's right to make money and its right to acccept ads from advertisers. I just want to warn you what you are getting into. Be careful what you read. Judge all things by what the Bible says.. that is, if you are a Christian.

Thoughts About Heaven
"It is appointed unto man once to die and after this the judgement."
Yes, I hold that there is life after death. Not the life that the world is trying to push on us. Not the Muslim life with the virgins. Nor the Mormon life with the procreation of kids. But a life after death. A life we choose now while we are alive. We either choose eternal life with God, our creator, or eternal separation. But we do live forever either way.
The last book in the Bible tells us what heaven will look like. Floors of clear glass. Stones making up the gates. It is day all the time. We will be worshipping God, our creator. We will be serving and adoring the One who saved us.
Just some of the ideas.
I don't at this moment have an open Bible before me so I am just giving my impressions of what I have hidden in my memory. But it will be a wonderful place. No more sickness. No more pain. No more aging. No more youngsters not doing what you tell them to do. No more bad literature..
No, we will not be on clouds and playing harps. We will be too busy serving God and praising God to have time to compose music.
Our days of struggling will be over. No more overdue rent and the landlord knocking on your door. No more road rage. No more drive by shooting. No more watching a loved one die. Or watching a pet die. Or suffering yourself.
We will never get sleepy or need rest. We will have different bodies. We won't marry. There will be no need.
In short, I am sure, it will be more than we can think about. What God wants us to know about it is all found in the Bible.
